Overview

From 24.10 to 31.10.20

The journey takes us to the deep south of the Egyptian Red Sea. The small wild island Rockys offers almost untouched reefs and can also be full of currents. In the blue water, there are high chances for big fish.

The big island Zabargad is surrounded by turquoise blue water and captivates with a paradisiacal feeling. The reefs are very rich in fish and very well preserved, as not many safari boats come here.

On the way back some of the reefs of St. John and Sataya are explored.

Habili Jaffar
Habili Jaffar

Habili Ali is the largest Habili in the reef system known as St. Johns. Habili is the Arabic word for a reef that never rises to the sea surface, which means it is not yet an adult reef. The steep walls of the reef are covered in colorful soft corals and huge black coral sea fans. The average depth of the site is over 30m and in some places the wall drops down to 70m. Due to the exposed location of the reef, divers always experience some currents at this dive site.

Shaab Claudia
Shaab Claudia

Sha’ab Claudia is a small reef that is part of a reef system known as Fury Shoals. The west side of the reef features an abundance of beautiful hard coral formations. On the more sheltered southern side of the reef, corals are less plentiful, but there is a wealth of small marine life that makes the site a good place for macro photography. In the middle of the system there is a spacious cavern with an opening in the ceiling, allowing the sunlight to penetrate into and create a fascinating atmosphere inside the cavern
